A Holistic Approach to Health

About Me

My story of holistic health started in 2007. I had two children under two, I was running a new business whilst studying a degree. Also during that time, I had kidney stones, had a kidney removed, and my immune system hit rock bottom. Once I literally had a cough a cold for six months! It was the hardest and most stressful time of my life, though at the time I did not realise how stressful it was until those days were over.
So there began my journey of wellness and spirituality. I went back to exercise and yoga. I emerged myself in yoga and meditation. I started eating more organic plants and studied Aromatherapy to support my body to heal itself. Transformation occurred.
Vedic Meditation is a transcendental mediation that is science backed to remove stress and samskaras. Vedic meditation causes the mind to naturally de-excite by using a mantra (sound) and an effortless mental technique. As the mind settles down, the body follows and you experience a deep state of rest. This deep rest revitalises and rejuvenates the whole body.
I help people nurture themselves. As a Vedic Meditation Teacher, Aromatherapist, Yoga Teacher and plant food advocate, I am ready with the best tools to live their best life.

Vedic Meditation

Vedic Meditation comes from the Vedas, a 5,000+ year old body of knowledge called Veda, the same knowledge base from which Ayurveda and Yoga also began.
Vedic Meditation removes stored stresses in the body by activating your parasympathetic nervous system and broadening your consciousness state.
Unlike some meditations where you are still required to think, in Vedic Meditation you are given your own personal mantra which is used to settle the mind. It's a powerful tool for cultivating calm and deep focus.

Benefits of Vedic Meditation

Vedic meditation is a simple, effective and effortless to practice. It is learnt in 4 x 90 minute sessions, and then practiced twice a day for 20 minutes.

    Reduces Stress

A personal mantra or sound is used that silently allows the mind to settle down to quieter and more subtle states. This settling of the mind triggers profound levels of rest in the body allowing stress to unwind and the body to heal.

    Reduces Anxiety

Medical research estimates as much as 90% of all health problems are caused or aggravated by stress and worry. The unique state of rest that is achieved during meditation allows the body to launder years of accumulated stress physiologically and to think more clearly.

    Happy Brain Power

When we meditate consistently, over time we dissolve the underlying stresses that inhibit our full mental potential. We also remove the ongoing noise and clutter to open our consciousness to new levels and happiness.

My family and I use essential oils in almost every aspect of our daily lives, including supporting the emotional and physical needs of our bodies, cleaning, cooking, skin care, enhancing the air in a room. We regularly use DoTerra’s Protecting Blend called ‘On Guard’ which supports us if we start to come down with something or if we are around people who have colds or flu. I also use a series of oils including Juniper Berry and Lemon Grass to support my remaining kidney as I have had kidney issues throughout my life. For sleep I diffuse Doterra’s Sleep Blend “Lavender Peace” (for a restful sleep) with Doterra’s Respiratory Blend “Easy Air” (to help reduce my snoring).
If you’ve never used an essential oil, I recommend starting with a few basic options, such as lavender, lemon and peppermint, but choose a quality brand. Most oils you can buy over the counter say they are 100% pure, but they’re not. Look at the label, it will say not to take internally. Doterra are not only 100% essential oil, they have independent testing done on their oils to ensure they are free from any radicals. Doterra’s oils are subsequently Therapeutic Grade and many of the oils can be taken internally. But be sure to read their label.

Do you want work that fills you with purpose where you can manage your own schedule?

Tired of letting people down at work if you have to take a sick day or sick of only four weeks holidays a year that you might not be able to take when you want?

Do you want to share what you have learnt about the amazing health benefits of essential oils to other people, so they can experience natural medicine too?

Do you want to fill your cup instead of running on empty by being supported and coached by a team of people that love their job and have achieved abundance from it?

Sometimes we are so tired we cannot be bothered trying something new. But nothing changes if nothing changes.
